Living and Working Green
Nestled in the mountains of Hailey, Idaho, Rocky Mountain Hardware's flagship facility is a true testament to their core values. When they decided to expand their company, they started from the ground up–literally. Their goal to design a structure that balanced environmental responsibility with the health and happiness of their employees earned the company LEED® Gold Certification, a high honor granted by the U.S. Green Building Council.
90% Post-Consumer Bronze
All products are cast of bronze certified to contain a minimum of 90% post-consumer recycled content. Post-consumer material is an end product that has completed its life cycle as a consumer item and would otherwise have been disposed of as a solid waste.
LEED Gold Certification
Our corporate headquarters, built in 2007, is LEED® Gold certified. Our efforts to meet this standard will help mitigate the building's effect on the environment while providing a tangible example of our commitment to the environment.
Eco-Friendly Patina Process
Each piece is finished in our eco-friendly patina process to create the beautiful hues for which we are known.
As an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable business, we put our values into practice every day, from supporting numerous local charities to living greener, especially when it comes to manufacturing products. All sand used to cast molds is reconditioned on an hourly basis for reuse, resulting in zero waste. And, bronze chips and grinding dust are also recycled with absolutely no byproduct. For us, living green is more than just an ideal, it’s a way of life.
Rocky Mountain Hardware is a family-owned business that truly understands why every employee is integral to the company's success. They also appreciate how leading a balanced life impacts the bottom line. That's why they encourage a 8-5 workday and offer little perks that make coming to work fun. There's a gym, horseshoe pit and basketball court in addition to classes for kettle bells, yoga and Pilates. Employees are encouraged to enjoy the surrounding environment and all it has to offer, from alpine and Nordic skiing in the winter to mountain bike riding in the summer.
